A place in the final of the Grill League Cup is up for grabs today as make the trip to take on Bridge of Don Thistle.
Both sides go into the match in good form and boss Allan Youngson is looking to carry on the run that has seen the side score eleven goals in their last two cup ties, following last weekend's 5-0 home win against Lossiemouth United.
He said, "Last week's performance was very good again.
"The lads that played all showed up well and the performance was as empathic as the result suggests, to score 5 against any team is good but to do it against a team that was unbeaten in their own league was very pleasing."
Alfie singled out striker Nicky Wozniak for praise after he came on and hit a second half hat-trick.
"I was particularly pleased for Wozzy who has had to be patient so far with his limited game time, but last week he showed us all what a big player he is for us and coming on scoring 3 shows how far our squad depth has come in the last 12 months."
The winners of the tie will face either Stonehaven or Culter in next month's final and Alfie is expecting a tough encounter.
"This week's game against Bridge of Don Thistle is another huge game.
"Both teams will be looking to kick on and play in finals and win trophies this season, and a semi-final so early in the season gives us both the opportunity to do that.
'Both games against them last season were very close where I thought we edged the first game at the Aberdeen Sports Village and they edged the second game at Ian Mair Park. This season both teams seem in good form and obviously the team that shows up most on the day will give themselves the best chance of getting to the final, they've recruited well in summer and both teams will have improved on where we were last season."
