Dyce Juniors FC v East End

The hoops suffered another loss at IMP, with East End taking the points thanks to a late winner. The visitors had the better of a goal-less first half, but just when we seemed to be back in the game and getting on top with a quarter of it left it all went Pete Tong. The two Tom's, Yeats and Hutch both collected second yellows and a scrappy 80th minute winner saw the New Advocates Park side take the points.
The early chances fell to the visitors, Reid winning a 50/50 before putting his shot high and wide when through on Andy. In the 20th minute the same player fired one past the near post from a low cross. Andy had to push wide a 25 yarder from Petrie before away keeper Summers comfortably held Esslemont's shot from distance meaning the sides went in at the break all square.

The opening of the second period saw neither keeper troubled, with Leith making a great blocking tackle to deny Wilson and at the other end Taylor's low ball across goal just evaded the in rushing Esslemont. At this point the hoops were keeping the ball better and having more possession but just as we had our best spell of the game we hit the self destruct button. With a quarter of the game left Yeats tackled End sub Duff, and having already been booked the second yellow meant red. Andy did well to save the resultant free kick. End were awarded another free kick in the 80th minute and it led to the winner. The initial shot was deflected and Andy blocked it well. The rebound was fire in again and deflected into the path of Donald who slotted in from 8 yards. Shortly after the already difficult task became pretty much impossible when Tom Hutch also collected a second yellow and followed Yeats to the changing room, and the visitors saw out the remaining minutes to seal the points.
