Dyce Juniors FC v Stonehaven

The hoops made it 4 games unbeaten under the stewardship of interim boss Captain Mark, and more importantly gained three points to pull away a little more from the foot of the table. There were a couple of scares in the first 45, and we could easily have found ourselves behind before breaking the deadlock. However once ahead we missed a number of absolute sitters making things a touch nervier than they should have until Mark's late strike sealed the win.
 
It was Stonehaven who created the first opening on the quarter hour, when Coyle was through but Andy blocked well. At the other end Wallace just failed to connect with a far post corner. We almost gifted the the visitors the lead when Gogs' pass across the edge of our box only found Coyle and he looked certain to net but his shot came back off the post. A let off. Leith blazed a 25 yards over before Mark B found space in the box and was a banker to score but McIntosh made a fine save. However with 8 mins of the half remaining the deadlock was broken, when Ads swung a corner to the back post and Adam MORRISON rose to head home.
 
Into the second half and Ads tried his luck from 25 yards with a free kick but the ball hit the side net. The Hive then broke quickly and Michie found space in the box but volleyed over. Robertson then headed a corner straight at Andy, but the hoops then started to take control and created a number of chances. Ads had a shot well blocked by a visiting defender, then saw a free kick headed clear to Davidson at the corner of the box and he found the bottom corner with a tremendous volley but the flag was up. A loose ball across the Hive box and landed at Wallace 6 yards out and somehow he managed to blaze the ball over. A neat build up ended up with the ball falling to Mark B but his shot was deflected wide. With 12 minutes remaining sub Clark found Ads with a great through ball and with only the keeper to beat he pushed his shot wide. A minute later a free kick was nodded into the net by Mark but once again the flag was up to cut short goal celebrations. Just when we thought the missed chances might come back to bite us on the backside we wrapped up the points in the 84th minute when a far post cross was knocked back across goal and
Mark BARTLET fired into the top corner from close range. We played out the remaining few minutes without any real scares to keep the recent run of good results going.
