East End v Dyce Juniors FC

The hoops recent revival continued and it's now just one defeat in eight games after a comfortable victory at New Advocates Park. East End are re-building after the departure of their management team and a large part of their playing squad and whilst their re-vamped side never gave up the result was never in too much doubt.
 
We were forced into an early change when young Jae went down injured and Dicky came on to replace him. Andy comfortably held a low shot in the 12th minute and moments later we went straight to the other end and took the lead with a cracking goal. Mike Taylor did brilliantly to hold the ball up despite the attention of two defenders and he laid the ball off the Leitho. He in turn cut the ball back to the edge of the box and Gaz McNAMEE had made a late run and he smashed the ball into the top corner giving the home keeper no chance. Mike T then had a header cleared off the line before completely missing a great ball across from Ads. Mark volleyed one over from 25 yards but the last 15 mins or so saw the hoops ease off a bit which allowed the homesters back into things, albeit without troubling Andy and we went in at the interval a goal to the good.
 
The second period kicked off with End shooting down the hill and their no.19 sub had two great chances to level. First he latched on to a through ball but fired wide, then took advantage of Gogs' short passback but again was off target.  We would punish those misses within a minute, when Jason did well to chase a long ball, beat his man and cut the ball back for LEITHO to thump it high into the net from 12 yards to double the lead. Jason almost made it three ten minutes later when a free kick fell to him in the box but after beating his man the home keeper did well to save. He also blocked well from Mike T but with five mins left goal number three arrived when Ads swung in a free kick and MARK B rose to head powerfully into the to corner from ten yards. Gaz nearly made it four when his shot following a corner beat the keeper and looked a certain goal until Koshedo made a tremendous goal line block. However the goal was only delayed for a minute when another cross from the right found Gaz McNAMEE and he headed in his second of the afternoon to round off the scoring and seal the win.
