Blue and white hoops knock out holders

The blue and white hoops moved into the last eight of the Dominos Pizza North Regional Cup after a fine 3-1 win at nine man Culter.

Both sides were looking to bounce back after disappointing exits in the Inter Regional Cup last weekend and we survived a scare when the home side hit the bar, before Fergus Alberts had us ahead at the break when he headed home Daniel Agnew's cross after thirteen minutes.

Both keepers produced fine saves to prevent further goals before we struck twice in the first fifteen minutes of the second half to take control of the tie.

First Craig Mackie headed home from a corner after 54 minutes before Kyle Douglas set up Fergus to add a third eight minutes later.

The home side then lost a bit of their discipline when they were reduced to nine men. First Ben McGregor was dismissed for a second booking before Ross Clark was given a straight red just a couple of minutes later.

We had chances to further extend our lead before Culter grabbed a late consolation through Jack Henderson.
