It took a late penalty to see Deveronvale across the line in a tough Aberdeenshire Cup tie, leaving Blue & White supporters very disappointed, having watched our side play the better football and enjoy a substantial amount of possession.

A strong breeze kept both sets of players on their toes and Mackie was extremely unlucky to see a curling shot glance the cross-bar in the first period.

Chances were limited, but Dyce did more than enough to match their Highland League counterparts and with some more quality in the last 1/3rd, really should have progressed in this one.
