Dyce Women FC travelled to Lawsondale to face Westdyke Ladies Thistle on Sunday after playing the same opponent last weekend at home winning 3-0.
As expected Westdyke came out the traps early with a point to prove after last weeks result and deservedly went 1-0 ahead early in the first half.
Against the run of play Evita Bereznaka levelled for Dyce just before half time to leave it tied at the break.
HT - Westdyke Ladies Thistle FC 1-1 Dyce Women FC
Dyce Women came out the second half with renewed grit and determination after a below par first half performance.
Goals from Marika Bereznaka, Evita Bereznaka and Ruby Fraser made it 4-1.
With 5 minutes left of the match goalkeeper Lailey Sinclair was subbed on and given a run out upfront - a cross was put in from the right hand side by Erin Gibson which she unsuccessfully tried to head goalwards, she then took a shot with her right foot which deflected off a defender and landed on the penalty spot. A moment of magic then saw Lailey at the 3rd successive attempt on goal side-volley with her left foot in over the keeper to round the scoring up at 5-1.
A game of two halves with Westdyke totally dominating the first 45 minutes but a turn around in the 2nd half saw Dyce take home all 3 points
